CONDITIONAL USE SUBMISSIONS ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGE

Summary

As advised by the Town Attorney, we’re proposing updates to the Planning Board’s submission requirements for conditional use applications to reflect information required to determine compliance with the Ordinance criteria.

Why the Change?

The Planning Board has been advised by the Town Attorney that it would be better to include their submission requirements for conditional use applications in the Land Use Ordinance rather than adopting a listing in its instructions to applicants. To assist applicants, a checklist of submission requirements will be provided as is currently done for subdivision and site plan review applications.

We want to hear from you! Do you support this change? Do you have concerns about putting the submission requirements in the Ordinance and using a checklist? Please share your thoughts with the Planning Board during the public participation process. You can submit written comments to the Town Planner for circulation to the Board by emailing townplanner@durhammaine.gov
