Durham Conservation Commission

July 23, 2025; 6:30 – 8:00 pm; Eureka Center

DCC Attendees: Jess Costa, Roberta Brezinski, Sam Cuccaro, Mike Friendly, Jeff Tindall, Todd Chaudhry

• June meeting notes approved

• Status update on Community Action Grant/Open Space Plan

o Review proposals received on the record with Jerry o ‘Writing and managing strong community action grants’ workshop debrief

o Roberta reach out to Ashley/state on when contract spend needs to be completed

o Sub-form to be submitted to state by August 15 (Roberta will coordinate with Jessica and Jerry)

o Stakeholder list

• Debrief on 7/22 Select Board Goals Setting Workshop

o DCC Open Space Plan

o DCC review development proposals submitted to Planning Board

• Runaround Pond Fish Passage update (Kallenbach property)

o Andy Fisk will contact DCC when it’s time for public outreach

• Debrief on 7/22 Select Board Goals Setting Workshop

• Postponing second bat acoustic study at RAP until summer 2026

• Other DCC upcoming goals

o Pitch to take solar projects out of contract zoning

o Jess to send around draft solar letter to Select Board to DCC to review again

• Jess will reach out to Devin re: questions on new Durham emails (notifications about new emails, creating a DCC group email address)
