Durham Conservation Commission

June 18, 2025; 6:30 – 8:00 pm; River Park Building

DCC Attendees: Sam Cuccaro, Jess Costa, Roberta Brezinski, Mike Friendly, Jeff Tindall

• Approval of May meeting notes

• Update on RFP process for CAG grant

• Discussion with guest attendees on objectives of open space plan

• Will be planning community events to seek resident feedback on the open space plan

• Criteria for proposals (community outreach will be included as review criteria)

• DCC to send guest attendees copy of grant application

• Take aways from MDIFW's Municipal Biologist's open space planning webinar

• DCC to send link to webinar to guest attendees

• Emerald Ash Borer – resident question/request to see Newsblast information sources for the recommended chemical treatment (concern about non-target species) (Michael to respond)

• Update on runaround pond fish passage – Andy Fisk contracting firms for analysis and design

• July 22nd Select Board committees 2025 goal setting meeting

• River Park flower bed clean-up (invasives and weeds removed from flowerbeds)
