Durham Conservation Commission

DCC Attendees: Sam Cuccaro, Jess Costa, Roberta Brezinski, Mike Friendly, Jeff Tindall

• April meeting notes approved

• Climate Action Grant update

o   Updates made to application and contract documents received/signed

o   RFP recipients and distribution

o   Timeline and next steps (July grant start date)

o   May 27 select board meeting

• Other items to discuss with select board o updates to BESS ordinance - CC hold off for now; during review of specific BESS project applications, could request applicants include specific lighting and vegetation specifications into individual BESS design plans

o   potential for taking solar out of contract zoning, would have to go on Town warrant

▪ tax relief, other town case studies, send letter and request time on upcoming Select Board agenda

• Emerald ash borer town news blast

o   link pictures of ash leaf/bark

• MAINECAN survey

o   what commitment would Durham have if join/take survey

o   not sure if CC can speak for the town's interest in joining MAINECAN
