MEETING MINUTES

1. Call to Order & Establishment of Quorum, Pledge of Allegiance

In Attendance: Joe Roy (Chair), Josh Klein-Golden (Vice Chair), Joe Tomm, Heather Roy, Deb Oliver and Jerry Douglass (Town Manager).

Guest(s): John Benedict, Jeff Dewitt and Lois Kilby-Chesley

2. Amendments to Agenda: NONE

3. Public Comments: Limited to 3 Minutes Per Person

John Benedict (26 Runaround Pond Road) – Majority of his property was rezoned with Ordinance change from last year.

Jeff Dewitt (96 Runaround Pond Road) – Concerned about the Ordinance

Lois Kilby-Chesley (Runaround Pond Road)

4. New Business:

a. Review Request for Proposal for Legal Services – The Town Attorney is officially retired as of May 31, 2024.

The Town Manager has prepared the RFP and will be posted on May 9, 2024.

Select Board Meeting - May 28th, 2024 – Attorneys come and present

Joe Roy motioned to approve the RFP as written, Heather Roy seconded. Motion carried 5 – 0.

5. Manager Report:

• Ducks on the corner of Rabbit Road and Route 9. The Codes Officer cited the owners of the property for violation to the people parking on the side of Route 9.

• GPCOG wants delegates from Select Board - Meeting on May 30th.

• Pine Trees to be cut down at Town Office – put on next SB agenda (May 14th, 2024)

• New Website for the Town (Transition from Civic Plus to Town Cloud) – put on SB May 14th agenda.

• The Town Manager would like to delay the paving on Auburn Pownal Road until the CMP work is completed..

6. Consent Agenda:

• Approve Minutes from 4-23-24 and approve and sign AP Warrant 5-06-24

Joe Roy motioned to add the AP Warrant 5-06-24 and the meeting minutes from 4-23-24 to the consent agenda. Heather Roy seconded. Motion carried 5 – 0.

Josh Klein-Golden motioned to accept the consent agenda as presented. Joe Tomm seconded; motion carried 5 – 0.

7.   Upcoming Meeting(s) and Town News:
