Fire Station Meeting Room

1. Call to order and Establishment of a Quorum: 6:35PM

In attendance: Joseph Tomm (Chair), Joshua Klein-Golden, Heather Roy and Joseph Roy.

3. Public Comment: None (Public was not in attendance)

4. Agenda Item: To discuss in an open forum the Bylaws and Policies of the Durham Selectboard

The SB team discussed the draft revision of the Selectboard Bylaws for approximately 2.5 hrs. This was a healthy discussion about the selectboard duties and the mechanics of the SB meetings. Much of subject matter discussed and documented already is practiced today during our SB meetings but this effort will help new members, existing members and the public understand the roles, responsibilities, and rules of engagement with the Town of Durham Selectboard.

As the board reviewed the draft Bylaws, we identified a few areas where additional MMA training would be helpful for both new and current SB members. Although many training opportunities are available for public officials a more focused approach for Durham town officials will help bring folks up to speed quicker and refreshed on an annual basis. We will work on the mechanics for this to occur at a future meeting.

Joe Roy took on the role of "scribe" for the edits and will publish a 2nd revision of the redlined document for the boards final review at a future meeting.

5. Adjourn: Joe Roy Motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:14 PM and Heather Roy , Seconded. Motion Carried: 4-0.
