SOLID WASTE COMMITTEE - Meeting Minutes for 7/14/25

Present: Juliet Caplinger (Chair), Catherine Curtis (Vice-Chair) Todd Beaulieu, Claire Ross, Milt Simon, Phyliss Brannon (alternate) Calvin Beaumier, Deborah Oliver = Town Representatives Mario Pascarelli = Durham resident

Meeting called to order at 6:31 p.m. inside Eureka Community Center.

Meeting Minutes from 5/12/25 were approved. There was no meeting held in June due to the lack of a quorum.

Voted in Catherine Curtis as Committee Vice-Chair and Milt Simon as Committee Secretary.

Signing of Committee By-Laws tabled to next meeting.

Calvin provided copies of map showing Town-owned properties; Committee discussed the feasibility of each location.

Calvin and Deb agreed to work together and begin outlining the many factors involved, including a breakdown of all costs, to start and operate a Transfer Station. This will include gathering information from towns comparable in size to Durham and having an operational transfer station.

Committee updated its listing of member’s email addresses.

Next Meeting: Monday, Sept. 8, 2025 at the Eureka Community Center starting at 6:30 p.m.

Meeting adjoined at 7:47 p.m.
