TranscriptSelect Board Meeting ~ June 13, 2023

Some piece of this is here. I think that's all. George put this on the table. All right? Thank you. That was a weird way to hand you all the papers. All right. Good evening, everybody. Welcome to the Black Board meeting here. We have a full quorum this evening. And we all stand here for our collective allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I know that the Maine Association of Planners gave the town of Durham and Georgia an award for the resource protection in the surrounding area. It's pretty cool. They worked hard on it. It's really an award recognizing everybody that was involved.

The planning board, the conservation commission, select board, everybody coming together, working this out, using the latest data to draw the maps. It was a pretty good project. A lot of effort went into it. And they gave the town of John that award for that project. I think that's pretty cool. That is awesome. Congratulations to you. It's just another light up. So what we're going to do as part of my announcement, we're meeting the planning board, meeting with all the heads of their committees, historic, conservation, that's tomorrow.

And when we're all together, they have the planning board chair, George, and the conservation commission chair will get their picture taken with that award. Great. And we'll put it on the website for that. That's awesome. It is pretty cool. So it was pretty cool. And what was it, Project of the Year? Project of the Year, yep. and it was a success so that's awesome that's good so there's one thing that i got uh the other

thing that i have for you is uh we are now fully on board with an ap with warrior associates and accountants so yeah they're completely doing art so the board that you'll see next meeting will be one that they can be a first taste of what they're what they're doing and um it's going to take a

little time to where it's a transition there'll be some wrinkles along the way um but we'll line those out and now we should be in pretty good shape once uh we get going so i'm really excited about what part is that you're happy with the way it looks well i'm happy to have

someone look at it and just really kind of it's going to be a little bit more what i like about it is compared to our expense budget that we're using the one that we're now going to be using and it's going to be a lot more transparent, that's right, that's a good thing, that's awesome

not that the other one was hiding anything, but this one will be a little bit more detailed and it will be a lot better, so that's good, other than that, things are good we're cooking with gas and he had things being good at the behind the glass

things are in good shape, that's awesome, so that's pretty much all I've got Of course, as you know, I've been working with Tony to do some workshops for all of us here to talk about some different things. We'll get into that once you get through the meeting.

And there is, and I don't know if you saw this, but George put this together about what tomorrow's meeting is all about. You know, I'm having coffee now, so you just kind of look at that. That's what we're going to do. So we're just discussing that. It'll be me and George. We'll be here with all the department, I mean, the committee chairs. So this is just committee chairs, not full committees. And this is closed to the public?

Public will come in review if they're not participating. Right, exactly. Okay, thank you. Did you have your time on that? Yeah, 6.30, I believe. They'll play with the summit meeting that's on our agenda here. Will this be recorded? I don't know. It won't, okay. There's no votes, there's no polling, there's no anything like that, because we're just having a, like, a workshop.

Okay. We'll move on to upcoming town meetings. Select board meeting. Next select board meeting is 6-27. And the following meeting is on 7-Eleven, again, 6-30 here at the Town Hall. And as we just discussed, we're in the planning board's summit meeting on 6-14, which is tomorrow evening at 6-30 here at the Town Hall.

And tonight we'll be going into a workshop session with GP COG and with the select board. So, anything, anyone have any other, anyone have anything to discuss, executive session this evening? No, we don't. Okay. I heard a question about the 627. That's the meeting that Don is going to be here? Yes. And then is it appropriate for us to ask Don a question?

Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. Thank you. Yeah, okay. I would just ask that you sign this before we get into the workshop. That's fine. Yep. We can do that. So no executive session, and we can probably adjourn while we sign.
